expressions ‘Video Busters’, 'we', 'us' and 'our' refer to the Video
Busters Australia Pty Ltd, its associated entities and franchises.

so. For customers, this includes personal information supplied to us on our
Application
for Membership Card and Hiring Agreement and any updated information you
give us from time to time; e.g. your change of address. We may conduct a credit
reference check on you. We may also obtain information about you from any referees
you give us, or from publicly available records. Typical information we may collect
includes your name, contact details, date of birth, two forms of identification
and credit card details.
We may be unable to provide the goods or services you want if you do not give us
the personal information we ask for. We essentially have to be able to check that
you are who you say you are and that you live where you say you live. We also need
to know that you are a reasonable credit risk.
In relation to individuals acting as service providers, contractors or agents of
the firm, we collect your name, contact details and relevant information concerning
your dealings with us.
Use and disclosure of your information
We use and disclose your information for the primary purpose for which you have
provided it. In addition, we also use and disclose information for purposes ancillary
and consequential to the primary purpose of collection such as correspondence with
you and accurate file management. Your personal information may be accessed by Video
Busters’ associated entities and franchisees for lawful business purposes.
We may also use your personal information to market our products to you. We do not
disclose personal information we hold to any third parties to allow them to market
their products and services to you. You may at any time tell us that you don't want
to receive marketing from us.
The Company collects personal information that is reasonably necessary for one or more of its functions or activities.
- Candidate: if you are a candidate seeking employment with the Company, the Company may collect and hold information including your name, address, email address, contact telephone number, gender, age, employment history, references, resume, medical history, emergency contact, taxation details, qualifications and payment details.
- Customer:if you are a customer of the Company, the Company may collect and hold information including your name, address, email address, contact telephone number, gender and age.
- Supplier:if you are a supplier of the Company, the Company may collect and hold information including your name, address, email address, contact telephone number, business records, billing information, information about goods and services supplied by you.
- Referee: if you are a referee of a candidate being considered for employment by the Company, the Company may collect and hold information including your name, contact details, current employment information and professional opinion of candidate.
Sometimes we use external service providers who may have access to some personal
information we collect. For example, we use contractors to collect debts, to print
and distribute some of our publications, and to maintain and develop our computer
systems.
If you have a defaulting account with Video Busters we may also provide your details
to credit reporting organisations, such as the
Video Defaulters National Default Registry and Credit Reference Limited

We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal
information once we no longer need it for any purpose outlined in this policy.
Security
We store your personal information on computer and paper based files as appropriate.
The secure storage and use of information is of importance to us. All reasonable
steps are taken to protect the information from misuse or loss, or unauthorised
access, modification or disclosure. We maintain physical security over our premises
and access to our computer systems is limited by user names and passwords. All our
staff member are subject to obligations of confidentiality.

You may use our website anonymously, but we and our Internet Service Provider may
record details of visits to our site such as the visitor's server address, domain
name and browser type, the date and time of the visit, the information downloaded,
and links from other sites followed to get to our site. This information is anonymous.
Any information you choose to send to us (e.g. an e-mail) will be treated in accordance
with our privacy Policy. However, the Internet is not totally secure and interception
or tampering by other people can occur. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security
